DU PhD Admission 2026-27: 4-Year UG Graduates Can Apply Directly, Check Eligibility
Delhi University has opened PhD applications for the 2026-27 academic session.
The application process started on August 27, 2026, and will remain open until September 6.
A major update: students with a four-year UG degree under NEP’s FYUP can directly apply for PhD admission.
UR, OBC-NCL and EWS candidates need a minimum 7.5 CGPA, while SC, ST and PwBD candidates need 7.0 CGPA.
Applicants must appear for an entrance examination conducted by the concerned department or university.
The final admission process and selection criteria will be decided at the departmental level.
Application fee: ₹250 per program for UR, OBC-NCL and EWS candidates, and ₹100 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates.
DU has also advised applicants to appear for UGC-NET or CSIR exams to explore research fellowship and financial support benefits.
