All About International Tea Day

International Tea Day is observed annually on May 21, according to the United Nations

The resolution was adopted on December 21, 2019

United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) will lead the observance of the Day

It aims to raise awareness of the long history and economic significance of tea around the world.

It also create awareness about safe working conditions of the tea workers.

An International Tea Day has been celebrated on December 15, since 2005.

Major tea producing countries are India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Vietnam, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Kenya, Malawi, Malaysia, Uganda and Tanzania.
