Swachh Vayu Sarvekshan 2026: Top 15 Cities With Cleanest Air

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has released the city rankings under Swachh Vayu Sarvekshan 2026.

The rankings shown here cover Category-I cities with a population above 10 lakh.

Lucknow secured the 1st rank with a final score of 198, emerging as the top-ranked city.

Indore stood second with a score of 197, followed by Jabalpur in third place with 195.

Bhopal and Agra shared the 4th rank, scoring 192 each.

Surat ranked 5th with 191 points, while Raipur secured 6th place with 189 points.

Thane, Chandigarh and Rajkot shared the 7th rank, with each city scoring 187 points.

Ahmedabad and Vijayawada shared the 8th rank, recording 186 points each.

Ghaziabad and Navi-Mumbai shared 9th place with 184 points, while Nagpur ranked 10th with 183.8.

Kanpur ranked 11th with 183.2 points, while Trichy and Pune shared 12th place with 183 points each.

Allahabad ranked 13th, Faridabad 14th, and Vadodara and Vasai Virar shared 15th place in the Category-I rankings.
