Southern Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Apply for 4,308 Posts, Eligibility & Stipend
Southern Railway has invited online applications for 4,308 Apprentice vacancies across its organisation.
Eligible candidates can apply online through the official Southern Railway website at sr.indianrailways.gov.in.
The registration process has already started and the last date to apply is September 27, 2026.
Candidates must meet the prescribed educational qualifications mentioned in the Detailed Notification.
Applicants must have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 22 years for Freshers/Ex-ITI or 24 years for MLT.
Fresher – Class 10: Selected apprentices will receive a stipend of ₹8,200 per month.
Fresher – Class 12 & Ex-ITI: The prescribed stipend is ₹9,600 per month.
The stipend will increase by 10% in the second year and 15% in the third year as prescribed.
Selection will be based on a merit list prepared from the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations.
For Ex-ITI candidates, Matriculation and ITI marks carry equal weightage, while Fresher and MLT merit is based on the prescribed qualifying-exam marks.
The application fee is ₹100, while SC, ST, PwBD and women candidates are exempted from paying the fee.
The fee can be paid online using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or UPI.
