Recruitment 2026: Government Announces Over 10,000 Job Opportunities
The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has approved recruitment across education, healthcare, public works and several other government departments.
Jal Shakti Department: The Cabinet has approved the recruitment of 4,090 para-workers to strengthen water supply and related services.
New CBSE Schools: The state plans to affiliate 100 additional schools with CBSE, creating 3,900 teaching and 900 non-teaching positions.
Teacher Recruitment: The Cabinet has approved a Limited Direct Recruitment (LDR) examination for eligible SMC teachers, including PGT and TGT categories.
Staff Nurse Vacancies: The Health Department will recruit 500 Assistant Staff Nurses, subject to the applicable recruitment process.
Higher Education Jobs: A total of 320 Assistant Professor positions will be filled under the backlog quota in the Education Department.
PWD Recruitment: The Public Works Department will fill 172 Multi-Task Worker positions under the approved plan.
Medical Education Jobs: Approved positions include 30 Radiologists, 13 Clinical Psychologists and 6 Perfusionists, along with other posts.
Medical College and Health Jobs: The plan includes 24 Medical Officer positions at Dr. RPGMC, Tanda, and 10 Radiographer posts in Model Health Institutions.
Other Department Vacancies: Recruitment plans also cover Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, the Kangra International Zoological Park and Treasury Department, among others.
