MEA Internship 2026: Apply by September 27 for October Intake, ₹10,000 Stipend
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has invited applications for its Internship Programme 2026 – October intake.
Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications online by September 27, 2026.
The programme offers interns an opportunity to gain practical exposure to the functioning and work of the Ministry.
MEA aims to promote greater diversity among interns across qualifications, domicile and socio-economic backgrounds.
The Ministry will also focus on improving gender inclusivity across the internship cohort.
Selected interns will receive an honorarium of ₹10,000 per month during the internship.
Eligible interns will also get one-time to-and-fro air travel expenses, subject to the prescribed economy-class airfare ceiling.
September 27, 2026: Last date to submit applications for the October intake.
October 7, 2026: Shortlisted candidates and interview calls will be announced.
October 17, 2026: Interviews will be conducted through DVC; October 23: Selected candidates announced.
Eligibility: Indian citizens with a recognised graduate degree can apply; final-year students may also apply if the internship is mandatory in their curriculum. Age limit: 25 years as on December 31, 2026.
