Education Loan Scheme 2026: Get Up to ₹25 Lakh at 4% Interest

Goa Government Launches New Education Loan Scheme

Mukhyamantri Bahujan Utkarsh Yojana offers education loans up to ₹25 lakh.

Eligible students can get loans at a low interest rate of just 4%.

The scheme targets OBCs, economically disadvantaged groups, minorities and persons with disabilities.

The initiative aims to make higher education more affordable for deserving students.

CM Pramod Sawant said education loans from public sector banks can carry around 8% interest.

The new scheme is designed to reduce the financial burden on eligible students.

Students not covered by existing Goa education loan schemes can apply.

Application forms will be available through the Goa State SC & OBC Finance and Development Corporation.

The government highlighted a 99% repayment rate under earlier interest-free loan schemes.

Beneficiaries have been urged to repay loans so the funds can support other needy students.

The scheme aims to ensure financial constraints do not stop deserving students from pursuing higher education.
