CSIR-UGC NET December 2026 Registration Opens: Check Dates, Exam Schedule

NTA has opened the online application window for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2026 examination.

Eligible candidates can apply online from October 7 to November 5, 2026, until 11:50 PM.

Applications with a ₹500 late fee can be submitted from November 6 to November 9, 2026.

Candidates can make corrections to their application details from November 10 to November 12, 2026, until 11:50 PM.

The CSIR-UGC NET December 2026 exam will be conducted on December 9, 22 and 27, 2026, in CBT mode.

The three-hour exam will have two shifts: 9 AM to 12 noon and 3 PM to 6 PM; the question paper will be available in English and Hindi.

The examination will cover five subjects: Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences & Biotechnology, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences.

The exam determines eligibility for JRF, Assistant Professor and PhD admissions in Indian universities and colleges, subject to applicable rules.
