Bharat Taxi App Launched: Government’s New Low-Cost Cab Service Begins Today

Good News for Common People! Bharat Taxi services begin today with affordable travel options.

To revolutionize India’s public transport system, the Central Government has launched the Bharat Taxi App.

The move aims to curb high charges by private cab companies and offer low-cost rides to passengers.

The Bharat Taxi App was officially launched at Vigyan Bhavan by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Bharat Taxi marks a new milestone in the transport sector as India’s first cooperative-based taxi platform.

Designed with a driver-centric ownership model, the app prioritizes driver welfare over corporate profits.

In the first phase, Bharat Taxi services will be available in Delhi–NCR.

The service will soon expand to major cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai.

Unlike private cab apps, Bharat Taxi charges ZERO commission from drivers.

The entire fare paid by passengers goes directly into the driver’s account.

This model helps increase driver income while eliminating unfair revenue sharing.

Drivers will also receive health insurance, accidental insurance, and PF benefits as social security measures.

Passenger safety is a key focus with real-time tracking and emergency assistance features built into the app.

The service was launched as a pilot project on January 5 in select cities.

After its resounding success, the government has now initiated plans for nationwide expansion.
