WhatsApp Chat Transfer: Move Data to New Phone Without Backup in Minutes

WhatsApp’s built-in Chat Transfer feature makes the process quick and easy.

On your old phone, open WhatsApp and go to Settings → Chats → Transfer Chats.

Tap Start to open the QR code scanner on your old phone.

Install WhatsApp on the new phone and verify the same WhatsApp number.

Select the Data Transfer option when it appears on your new phone.

Scan the QR code shown on the new phone using your old phone.

Accept the required permissions to connect both smartphones.

Keep both phones close and don’t close WhatsApp during the transfer.

Keep Wi-Fi and Location switched on until the transfer reaches 100%.

Chats, photos and videos will move directly from your old phone to the new one.

The feature works for Android-to-Android and iPhone-to-iPhone transfers.
