Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2026: 2,008 Vacancies, No Written Exam
North Western Railway has announced 2,008 apprentice training slots for 2026-27.
Online applications will open on October 7, 2026, and close on November 6 at 11:59 PM.
Vacancies are available across Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur and Jodhpur railway units.
Popular trades include Fitter, Electrician, Diesel Mechanic, Welder, Carpenter and Electronics Mechanic.
Candidates can also apply for Computer Operator and Programming Assistant training.
Applicants must have passed Class 10 with at least 50% marks from a recognised board.
Candidates must also hold an NTC certificate in the relevant trade from NCVT or SCVT.
The age limit is 15 to 24 years as on November 6, 2026, with relaxation for eligible reserved categories.
There will be no written examination; selection will be based on Class 10 and ITI marks.
The application fee is ₹100, while SC, ST, PwBD and female candidates are exempted.
Candidates can apply for only one railway unit and should keep Aadhaar, Class 10 and ITI details ready before applying.
