NMMS Scholarship 2026-27: Apply by September 30; Check Eligibility & ₹12,000 Scholarship
The Ministry of Education has extended the application deadline for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme.
Eligible students must submit their applications online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
Before applying, students need to complete their One-Time Registration (OTR) on the NSP.
The deadline for Institute Nodal Officer (INO) verification has been extended to October 15, 2026.
District Nodal Officer (DNO) verification can now be completed until October 31, 2026.
NMMS provides one lakh fresh scholarships every year to meritorious students from economically weaker sections.
Selected students receive ₹12,000 per year, with the scholarship amount transferred directly to their bank accounts.
Applicants must have annual family income up to ₹3.50 lakh and at least 55% marks in Class 7.
Students studying in government, government-aided or local body schools should use the extended deadline to complete their NMMS application.
