Naval Dockyard Apprentice Recruitment 2026: 283 Vacancies, Stipend Up to ₹9,600
The Dockyard Apprentice School, Naval Dockyard, Mumbai, has released A preliminary notification has been published in 'Employment News' (03-09 October 2026).
Eligible candidates can apply online through the official Apprenticeship India portal (https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/.) within the prescribed application window.
Candidates need the required qualification for their respective ITI trade, while some non-ITI trades such as Rigger accept 8th or 10th pass candidates.
The minimum age is 14 years, with no upper age limit specified; hazardous trades require candidates to be at least 18 years old.
Most selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of ₹9,600 during the apprenticeship period.
The stipend is ₹8,200 for Crane Operator (Overhead) and ₹6,800 for the Rigger trade.
Selection begins with merit-based shortlisting using 10th and ITI marks, followed by a written examination.
Candidates who qualify the written test must undergo document verification and a medical examination before final selection.
Registration is scheduled to begin at 10 AM on the fifth day after notification publication, with applications closing on the 21st day; check the official notification for trade-wise eligibility and dates.
