JEE Main 2027 Exam Pattern: Paper-Wise Structure, Subjects & Question Types
JEE Main 2027 applications are open, and eligible candidates can apply without a late fee until November 22, 2026.
JEE Main 2027 Session 1 is scheduled for January 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 28, 2027.
JEE Main has two papers: Paper 1 for BE/BTech admissions and Paper 2 for BArch and BPlanning courses.
Paper 1 (BE/BTech) covers Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics through a computer-based examination.
Paper 1 includes multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and numerical-value questions, with equal weightage for all three subjects.
Paper 2A (BArch) includes Mathematics and Aptitude Tests in CBT mode, along with an offline Drawing Test on an A4 sheet.
Paper 2B (BPlanning) includes Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Planning-Based Questions in the examination.
JEE Main 2027 will be conducted in two sessions: Session 1 in January and Session 2 in April 2027.
JEE Main also serves as the qualifying examination for JEE Advanced, which is used for admission to IITs.
