Inter-Caste Marriage Scheme 2026: Get Up to ₹5 Lakh Financial Assistance, Check Eligibility

Central and state government schemes offer financial incentives to eligible inter-caste couples.

The incentive amount varies by state and scheme, with some schemes offering up to ₹5 lakh.

Rajasthan’s Dr. Savita Ben Ambedkar Scheme offers assistance of up to ₹5 lakh to eligible couples.

In Rajasthan, ₹2.5 lakh may be credited while ₹2.5 lakh is kept as a fixed deposit for eight years.

The former Dr. Ambedkar Foundation scheme was merged with the centrally sponsored framework from April 1, 2023.

Couples should now apply through their respective state or UT social welfare department.

Generally, one spouse must belong to the Scheduled Caste category under schemes linked to inter-caste marriage incentives.

A legally valid and registered marriage is required, but eligibility rules vary by state.

Applicants may need a marriage certificate, Aadhaar, caste certificate, domicile proof and joint bank account details.

Some schemes also require joint photographs, age proof and income-related documents.

Odisha’s inter-caste marriage incentive provides ₹2.5 lakh to eligible couples under its applicable scheme.

Applications are generally submitted through the concerned state welfare portal or designated government office.

After document verification and approval, the incentive is transferred according to the scheme’s prescribed process.

Check your state’s latest official guidelines before applying, as eligibility, amount and deadlines can differ.
