ICSSR Senior Fellowship 2026–27: Eligibility, Stipend & Apply Online
Important Dates: Online applications opened on October 21, 2026, and the last date to apply is November 20, 2026.
Who Can Apply? Indian citizens aged 45 to 70 years with a PhD and a strong research background are eligible to apply.
Research Excellence: Applicants should have an outstanding publication record, including books from reputed publishers or papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Research Proposal Guidelines: Submit the research proposal only in the prescribed application format, in English or Hindi.
Fellowship Duration: The ICSSR Senior Fellowship is a full-time research engagement for two years, with no extension permitted.
Monthly Financial Assistance: Selected fellows will receive a monthly fellowship of ₹45,000, subject to applicable official guidelines.
Annual Contingency Grant: Fellows will receive ₹40,000 annually to support eligible research-related expenses.
Selection Process: Expert committees will evaluate applications and may conduct interactions or presentations before recommending candidates for approval.
