APPSC Group-1 Recruitment 2026: 163 Posts, Eligibility, Exam Pattern & Apply Online

APPSC has invited online applications for Group-1 Services through Brief Notification No. 07/2026.

Application Dates: Candidates can apply online from October 6 to October 27, 2026, until 11:59 PM.

Vacancies: Deputy Collectors – 11 | Assistant Commissioner of State Tax – 14 | DSP (Civil) – 36 | DSP (Communications) – 3.

Other posts include DEO – 14, RTO – 3, Deputy Registrar – 15, Municipal Commissioner – 12 and Assistant Audit Officer – 14.

Total Vacancies: 163 | Divisional Development Officer – 35 | Assistant Treasury/Accounts Officer – 2 | District Employment Officer – 3 | District Tribal Welfare Officer – 1.

Educational Qualification: Most posts require a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university, while DSP (Communications) requires a relevant B.E./B.Tech qualification.

Candidates applying for DSP posts must also satisfy the prescribed physical measurement standards specified in the official notification.

Selection Process: APPSC Group-1 recruitment consists of three stages – Preliminary Exam, Mains Examination and Personal Interview.

Prelims: Two objective papers of 120 questions and 120 marks each, with 120 minutes per paper; 1/3 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.

Mains: Qualifying Telugu and English papers plus five merit papers covering Essay, History, Polity, Economy, Science & Technology and Environmental Issues.

Final Merit: Mains carries 750 marks and the Personal Interview carries 75 marks, making 825 total merit marks; apply online through the official APPSC website.
