AP Police Constable Recruitment 2026: 1,156 Posts, Eligibility & Selection Process

The AP State Level Police Recruitment Board (AP SLPRB) has announced recruitment for 1,156 Constable, Fireman and Jail Warder posts.

Vacancies: 542 SCT Police Constables (Civil), 285 SCT Police Constables (AR), 158 Firemen and 171 Jail Warders.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed Intermediate or an equivalent examination as of July 1, 2026.

SC/ST Eligibility: Eligible SC/ST candidates may apply with Class 10 qualification along with appearing for Intermediate first- and second-year examinations, subject to the notification conditions.

Age Limit: For Civil and AR Constables, the age limit is 18 to 24 years as of July 1, 2026.

For Firemen and Jail Warders, the age limit is 18 to 32 years, with applicable age relaxation for eligible categories.

Application Process: Candidates must apply online through the official AP SLPRB website at slprb.ap.gov.in.

Application Fee: OC/EWS and eligible BC candidates have to pay ₹300, while eligible AP-local SC/ST candidates have to pay ₹150.

Salary: Selected candidates will receive a monthly pay scale ranging from ₹25,220 to ₹80,910.

Selection Process: Preliminary Written Test → Physical Measurement Test (PMT) → Physical Efficiency Test (PET) → Final Written Examination.

PET Events: Candidates may have to participate in 1,600-metre running, 100-metre running and long-jump events; check the official notification for the application deadline and detailed rules.
